Reggie,

I just want to thank you so much for this blog. I find myself awake at odd hours on occasion just searching for something to remind me of my dad. I almost always come across this blog entry and I thank God for it. It's been years since he passed, but your words still help me understand that he is in such a better place when it doesn't seem to make sense.

Again, Thank you and God bless,
Arianna

Reggie,

This is Brenton, Greg's cousin. We went to the U2 concert together. I appreciate what you have put together for Greg. I had an amazing short time with him this summer, as I came back from Kenya to see him. Maybe we can keep in touch. That night in Miami was so special, especially thinking about Greg being gone. We have to treasure each moment don't we? Blessings on you. Walk on...

Reggie,

Greg introduced me to your blog when you and he began collaborating on worship for the church. I have finally brought myself to read your blog once again since Greg got his wings; it has been a month. I will keep you and the worship team in my thoughts and prayers, especially on Tuesdays and Sundays. You were an amazing friend to him. You two could speak and share on the same level of giftedness, encouraging the rest of us to raise our thoughts and eyes higher to the creator of our earthly world. Reading your words today gave me great comfort to know that you are still here. Thank you for sharing your heart.....and being there to the earthly end for Greg.

God's blessing and comfort to you,
Anita Barnes

Reggie,

Thanks for the touching tribute to Greg. I had the privilege of speaking with Greg on only a couple of occasions. The one I remember most was after I made a presentation to the O-wood staff. Greg gave some reflective and sensitive comments about the issue on which I had spoken, and even sent an e-mail to one of his former seminary prof's to help gather some information for me. It was that sensitivity and willingness to help that made the greatest impression on me. He will be missed even by people, like me, who only wished they had known him better.

FAJ,thanks. Dylan would tell you to rock on too:

In the fury of the moment
I can see the Master's hand
In every leaf that trembles,
In every grain of sand.

RMK:

Your words about Greg are deeply touching. I cannot help myself but my mind is drawn back to your powerful soulful words lamenting the loss of my little brother when I returned from Mount Hood with my broken heart---and I weep again. To lose a friend or a brother is painful beyond mere words. Death is fiendish and violates everything. It is not supposed to be this way. I know you know about this throbbing sorrow and that is why your words jump through the internet right into my heart. When the Lord deigns it wise to bring me home, I hope to hear (from afar) your gravelly voice singing a mournful Dylan dirge (no up-tempo triumphalist hymns please). Rock on dear brother.

Reggie, so sorry to hear of the loss of your friend; it appears it was a tremendous loss to the Church and the world as well. Thanks for your words, it's a great tribute.

This is a lovely and sensitive tribute to a friend, Reggie. I am very moved to read it. As I always feel when I read about someone like your friend Greg, I wish I had known him, too. What a hope we have that we will all know and be known when we get to the other side! Thanks for ministering from your own grief, portraying our hope in what appears in this world to be darkness. He is risen indeed.
